Mission and objectives:

The Metallurgical Research Sector aims at increasing productivity, decreasing costs and improving quality of metals and metallurgical processes.

 

Organizational structure:

The Metallurgical Research Sector has two general

directorates: Metallurgical Research and Radioactive Isotopes Laboratory.

 

R and D activities/schemes:

R and D is performed on iron ores, sinters, pig iron, steels,

limestone, dolomite, ferro-alloys and refractories.

Destructive and non-destructive testing of raw materials, iron

and steel (ultrasonic, x-ray and others)
